Meh book

Underdeveloped, silly plot, mediocre writing.The author seems to believe that every act of speaking needs an action verb other than "said" (e.g., "chortled," "gasped," bellowed,", etc.). They teach you not to do that in Writing 101. I bought the book mainly for the advertised knitting patterns. There are two, both very simple and unattractive.

These books by Maggie Sefton are wonderful - the series with Kelly Flynn is one of my favorites!! Kelly's adventures in investigating and solving murders with the help of her knitting friends are almost as good as her adventures in learning to knit. I've ready nearly every novel about knitting currently in print and these by Maggie Sefton are the best! I love the setting in Colorado, the cast of characters, and the realistic foibles of people and of learning to knit.
I'm disappointed that the reviewers before me slammed the book in their reviews just because they hadn't read the description before they ordered it! The description clearly states that this is a reprint of the first two books in the series. It's actually rather a compliment because they immediately ordered ANYTHING from Maggie Sefton because they love her books. Their unhappiness with this is based on the fact that they've already read them...hmmmm

disappointed

I was disappointed to find this was a reprint of the first two books..it had a new title so I was very excited to read a new story. I wasted my money.
