One of the best!
By Nawed
This is the late Dick Francis at the top of his game. I have read this book 20+ times and have yet to tire of it. Actually, I have reread all of his books multiple times. These books are classics.
This novel is a great introduction to the genre if you have never yet read anything by Mr. Francis.

Dick Francis never fails to entertain
By Steve Dalby
The Banker is a great view of what is presumed to be a boring industry... a merchant bank. But as always with great characters, a good story line and a mystery winding it all together this is definitely a perfect example of a genre which is about reading to relax.

Good read, like most Franis
By Amazon Customer
Any Francis follower knows his stories are mysteries related to horses and horse racing, with a decidedly contemporary England setting and ambiance. "Banker" is a little different because the main character is not a jockey or trainer (but whose investment firm does back an owner) and, although knowledgeable about horses, has not spent his entire life around them. Also some unusual unexpected twists in the plot. Always the competent (but challenged)protagonist and a developing love interest, standard Francis elements, but done well and tastefully. One of my favorites of his and well worth the read.
